My vision of health

I work with many older folks, and I love them.

I learn so much from them, sometimes including how I see myself when I’m in my 70s or 80s - aka my “vision of health."

I see myself this way when I’m 73 or 83:

I can get up from a chair without using my arms/hands to push me up.

I’m working or volunteering at some organization that is important to me - like a homeless shelter serving meals.

I’m gardening, hiking, and taking care of animals.

Walking strongly uphill.

I take very few medications, and have few (or no) chronic illnesses.

I’m an appropriate weight - not too heavy, not too lean.

I sleep pretty well.

I realize no one has complete control over everything (despite trying)

However, I believe that what I do NOW with my lifestyle will dictate what my life is like in 20-30 years, or more!

What is YOUR vision of health?

How will you get there?

It’s not too late to start.
